HYDERABAD: Sreenidhi International School celebrated its fifth annual day celebrations at the amphitheatre on its sprawling campus in Aziznagar, Moinabad in Ranga Reddy district, recently.
University of Hyderabad Vice-Chancellor S.E. Hasnain was the chief guest.
Former Air Chief Marshal Idris H. Lateef and other dignitaries were also present.
The cultural programmes presented by students from pre-primary and primary sections were a special attraction and regaled parents and other guests and reflected the importance given by the management to the extra-curricular activities along with academic activities.
Children of the pre-primary classes enacted a play from the “Panchantantra” depicting “strength in unity”, while the students of Grade III rendered the song “I have a dream” of Martin Luther King Jr. and the French rhyme “Savez-vous planter les choux”.
Mego Varshati, and Bhavatu Bharatam , Sanskrit songs were melodiously sung by students of Grades III, V and VI demonstrating their ease in picking up pronunciation of French and Sanskrit words.
Then there were folk dances by students of Grade IV who gave an energetic performance of ‘Dappu dance’, an Andhra folk dance and ‘Fusion dance’ with the message of peace and harmony among people of diverse cultures.
The students also presented plays in Telugu, Hindi and English.
The programme ended with ‘Diya dance’ with the message ‘Kindle the light within’.
