In a special address to the students of TJPS College here on Wednesday, noted spiritual guru Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma explained the practical uses of the ancient texts such as Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Quoting from those texts, he exhorted students to emulate and learn from the character of Hanuma, Who is described as a symbol of wisdom and embodiment of knowledge. Mr. Sarma also referred to various books written by western authors like Stephen Covey (‘Seven Habits of Successful People'). He spoke on the need for students to have positive thoughts and ethical behaviour and advised them on how to set goals and achieve them.
