Four miscreants attacked a cashier and an accountant of a factory and ran away with Rs.4 lakh cash after injuring the duo at Valu Timmapuram village near Peddapuram in the early hours of Thursday.
According to the police, J.B.V. Ramana Rao, 60, of Peddapuram was working as a cashier in Sudha Spinning Mills in which M. Prameela of Samalkot was working as an accountant. In the early hours of the day, both Ramana Rao and Prameela were on their way to the factory to pay salaries to the workers.Four miscreants stopped the motorcycle being driven by Ramana Rao and attacked him and Prameela. They ran away with the cash.
In another incident, five miscreants entered the house of one G. Viswanatha Shastri at Bank Colony of Peddapuram and threatened him and his wife with dire consequences. As the aged couple raised alarm, the miscreants ran away. A case was registered.
