The Ministry of Railways has decided to run winter specials between Santragachhi (Howrah) and Chennai, and Hatia – Yesvantpur Express to clear the extra rush of passengers during winter.
Train no.08041 Santragachhi (Howrah)-Chennai Express will leave Santragachhi at 12:30 p.m. (afternoon) on Sundays between December 9 and December 30 and arrive here on Mondays at 2:30 a.m. and depart at 2:50 a.m. It will reach Chennai at 5:00 p.m. on the same day.
In the return direction, train no. 08042 Chennai-Santragachhi Express will leave Chennai at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, between December 4 and January 1, and arrive here at 12:10 a.m. (midnight), that is early hours of Wednesday, and depart at 12:30 a.m. to reach Santragachhi at 2:15 p.m. the same day.
These pair of trains will stop at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Gudur between Santragachhi and Chennai, according to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division M. Yelvender Yadav.
These trains will have one AC-2 tier, nine Sleeper Classes, six General Second Class coaches and two Guard- cum-Luggage Vans.
Similarly, train no. 08635 Hatia-Yesvantpur Express will leave Hatia at 9:40 a.m. on Thursdays between December 6 and December 27 and arrive here on Fridays at 1:30 a.m. and leave at 1:50 a.m. It will reach Yesvantpur 10 p.m. on the same day.
In the return direction, train no. 08636 Yesvantpur-Hatia Express will leave Yesvantpur at 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays, between December 8 and December 29, and arrive here on Sundays at 5 a.m. It will leave at 5:20 a.m. and reach Hatia at 9:30 p.m. on the same day.
These pair of trains will stop at Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh Road, Bolangir, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Parvatipuram, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpeta, Bangarapet, and Krishnarajpuram between Hatia and Yesvantpur.
