VISAKHAPATNAM: With a view to clear rush of passengers, the East Coast Railway will run new and special trains on important routes. A special train no.0747 will leave Visakhapatnam by 19.10 hours on January (2010) 23, 24, 30 and 31 and will arrive at Hyderabad by 08.50 hours the next day. Similarly train no.0748 will leave Hyderabad by 19.30 hours on January 22, 23, 29 and 30 and will arrive at Visakhapatnam by 08.30 hours the next day. The stoppages en route include, Secunderabad, Kazipet, Waranagal, Khammam, Madhira, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samlkota, Annavaraam, Anakapalli and Duvvada.
A new weekly pair of express train between Dibrugarh and Yesvantpur will also run from January 1. Train no.5902 will leave Dibrugarh on every Friday, arrive at Visakhapatnam on Sunday and will reach Yesvantpur on Monday. Similarly, with effect from January 4, train no.5901 will leave Yesvantpur on every Monday, arrive at Visakhapatnam on Tuesday and reach Dibrugarh on Thursday. A non-stop Duronto Weekly Express between Howrah and Yesvantpur will also run. The maiden run would be on December 30 at Howrah.Train no.2245 will leave Howarah by 11 am on every Friday and arrive at Yesvantpur by 04.pm on Saturday. In return journey, train no.2246 will leave Yesvantpur by 11.0 am on every Sunday and will arrive at Howrah on Monday. The normal weekly service will resume from Yesvantpur on January 3 (Sunday) and January 8 (Friday), according to the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, L.L .Luwang.
