Collector C. Sudharsan Reddy has said that 82,000 families were identified to be eligible to receive ration cards afresh in Kurnool district.
‘Dial Your Collector’
Responding to a caller at the ‘Dial Your Collector’ programme for a ration card here on Monday, he said that authorities had prepared the list and beneficiaries would have to wait for a short period to receive the cards.
Another caller complained to the Collector that some people had fraudulently sold the land allotted to his uncle at Four Class Colony in survey number 702/1 in Kurnool city.
He said the transactions had gone on violating the guidelines. The Collector said that a panel of officials led by the Joint Collector would inquire into the matter.
Charges against Principal
A contract lecturer lodged a complaint with the Collector that the principal of Degree College at Banaganapalli had sacked him after framing false charges and another person had been appointed in his name.
The Collector promised to get the matter inquired by the Additional Joint Collector.
Demolition of classrooms
Pradeep called to complain that the classrooms of a school were being demolished at Musalimadugu in Kothapalli mandal to make room for a mineral water plant.
The Collector said that action would be taken if the charges made were found to be true. If they were not, then the Collector warned of action against the caller.
The Collector said that a special drive would be launched to issue NPR or Aadhaar cards, after an engineering student told him about all the hardship he had to face in the absence of an Aadhaar card, to draw scholarship.
Acting on a complaint from villagers, the Collector asked panchayat officials to clean up the streets at Bhupanapadu in Panyam mandal.
Also, residents of Nunepalli drew the attention of the Collector to the problem of dumping half-burnt rice husk along the road on the outskirts of Nandyal town.
They said specks were getting lodged in the eyes when they would travel on that road. The matter was referred to the Pollution Control Board officials and municipal officials.
