Roots Health Foundation, on the occasion of the National Cancer Awareness Day, conducted a special signature campaign on Wednesday. Awareness on “how to prevent, diagnose, and cure cancer” was created by the foundation members at the programme. Foundation chairman P.V.S. Vijay Bhaskar Reddy said a five-km walk would be organised soon to aid in the generation of awareness. An exhibition of photographs was put up on how to prevent cancer and brochures were distributed. Signatures from various officials were collected to show their support for the cause, he said. Some of the officials who pledged their support were N. Vidya Khanna of Jana Sikshana Samsthan, Exhibition Society secretary G.V. Rama Rao, auditor Naga Babu, Mohana Foundation director Madhavi, and Sudheekshan Foundation chairman Chigurupati Vimala.
