Government is considering giving special allowance to marine police guarding the coastline, said Home Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy.
The Home Minister who reviewed functioning of marine police stations in the State here on Thursday said 15 more marine police stations, in addition to six existing ones, were sanctioned to the State. The process of setting up these new police stations would commence from April. To improve vigil along the coastline, government also sanctioned 30 more modern boats. IG (Marine) S.Chandramouli and others attended the meeting.
