VISAKHAPATNAM: A three-day creative festival ‘Spandana’ organised by Sri Prakash Educational Society concluded at R.L. Puram of Payakaraopeta mandal in the district on Wednesday.
Students of Sri Prakash from SPACES Institute of PG Studies, SPACES Degree College, Sri Prakash College of Engineering and Sri Venkateswara College of Education and Primary Education participated in the festival which featured over 20 events in five categories -- literary, arts, dramatics, dance, and music test.
The students themselves conducted the proceedings on stage.
A total of 1,163 students have tested their talents during the festival. Essay-writing, debate, elocution and quiz were held on the first day, Rangoli competitions, skits, cartooning, mimicry, collage and science exhibits were the highlight of the second day and on the final day music -- classical solo, instrumental solo, light vocal solo and group songs -- brought out the latent talent among the students.
Spandana convener V.V.B.S. Bangarraju presented a report at the concluding function.
Assistant Controller of Legal Metrology (Nalgonda Zone) M.N.S. Madhuri, who is an alumnus of SPACES Degree College, participated in the valedictory.
Joint Secretary of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions Ch. Vijay Prakash gave away trophies to the winners.
