Allagadda MLA Sobha Nagireddy has said the Congress and TDP were scared of the by-polls in the State.
Talking to reporters here on Sunday, she said the Congress party was trying to postpone the elections on some pretext or other.
The opposition TDP which should have questioned the delay in conducting the municipal and local bodies election remained silent as it was also scared of the elections.
She accused the TDP and Congress of having secret understanding to tarnish the image of Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.
Political parties opposed to YSR Congress Party could cause no damage as long as the people are with the party. She flayed the leaks of CBI inquiry to select newspapers and said legal action would be sought against the media which tried to tarnish the image of the YSR Congress Party in the name of CBI inquiry.
On her resignation, Ms. Sobha Nagireddy clarified that the Praja Rajyam which was wound up had no right to seek her disqualification. To prove that she was not scared of the by-election, resignation was tendered along with her colleagues who opposed the Congress.
