Big and mega projects is what the government fancies, but then small is efficient argue the non government organisations. It has been the basis for NGOs in arguments for and against the Metro Rail project in the city.
But then, environmentalist and member of Environment Pollution (Protection & Control) Authority Sunita Narain seems to suggest a middle path. In the city the other day, she remarked that “Metro Rail is government's choice but we want Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS)”.
After a pause, she ended up adding that the big and the small, choices of government and NGOs respectively, can in fact, co-exist.
