HYDERABAD: Four of a family and two others from Bihar were killed when an RTC bus rammed the autorickshaw they were travelling in near Yacharam, on the city outskirts on Wednesday evening. The Miryalaguda depot bus was coming to Hyderabad when the accident occurred around 6.30 p.m. near Gunagal crossroads leading to a massive traffic jam on the road.
The victims were identified as J. Chinna Narsimha (60) of Dharmannagudem in Yacharam, his elder daughter, A. Gangamma (35) her husband A. Gopal (45), from Timmaipalli of Kandukur and his second daughter, B. Kalamma (28) of Choudaripalli in Yacharam.
Bijender (21) and Mahender (30), both from Bihar, working in a dairy farm at Yacharam were also killed in the accident. Mahender succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital while death was instant for others. The autorickshaw driver escaped with bleeding injuries. Masood, driver of the bus, was detained by the police.
Lorry cleaner killed
In another accident, Narasimha (25), a lorry cleaner, was killed after an unidentified bus hit him while he was checking air pressure of the lorry tyre at Batasingaram crossroads in Hayathnagar on Wednesday night. The bus sped away after the accident.
