The 14th century Siva temple near Rampa, which is 3 km from divisional headquarters, is the biggest attraction in Agency during Sivaratri festival which requires immediate attention as it is in a dilapidated condition.

According to local tribes, people from seven tribal mandals in the Agency and plain areas in East Godavari visit this -Brahmaramba Mallikarjuna temple on foothills of Rampa, which is a tourist attraction.

Beautiful nature, waterfalls near the temple and lush greenery around the hill keeps the visitors in peaceful environment.

“The Sthalapurana says that Nagavamsi people have erected Sivalingam and other deities in the temple. Endowments Department built another temple nearby in 2003, neglecting the importance of this temple” said Raju, a local resident of Rampa.

The villagers committee will conduct three-day Sivaratri festival annually and rest of the year the temple has no relevance.
