Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA D. Sitakka strongly objected to the remarks made by TRS and Congress party leaders on N. Chandrababu Naidu’s padayatra that concluded in the district.

She said when both the parties failed to raise up to the expectations of the people, Mr. Naidu embarked on stupendous padayatra only to give hope to the people and create confidence among them.

The TDP leader reached out to people to expose the wrong doings of the ruling Congress party and the TRS that has been hoodwinking the people exploiting the Telangana sentiment, she said.

“The TRS leaders never focused on the problems facing the people. But they are worried about their mass base and vote bank. They never raised objections to the anti-people policies of the ruling Congress government,” she said.

Ms Sitakka and A. Baswa Reddy contended that the Congress leaders have no moral right to criticise the TDP or its leaders. The government miserably failed to maintain the power sector. The large scale corruption further burdened the people. “This is anti-people government. In the State, they hiked APSRTC charges, and at Centre, they hiked railway fares. They also failing to tackle the prices of essential commodities, petrol and diesel,” the TDP leaders pointed out.

The TRS and Congress talking about the corruption and making false allegations against the TDP leaders is like pot calling the kettle black.

“People are waiting to teach a fitting lesson to both the parties,” they said.
