HYDERABAD: Satti Babu and Satyanarayana Raju, the two workers of who sustained serious burn injuries two days ago following an explosion in the Siris pharmaceutical company, died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
The L.B. Nagar police altered the Section of law to 304-A (causing death due to rash and negligent act) of Indian Penal Code in the case following their death.
The police did not make any fresh arrests after a company employee, Venakta Rayapa Raju, was held on Monday.
“We’re writing to different government wings like the Factories Department to initiate departmental action while our investigation is in progress,” said Saroornagar ACP L.K. Shinde.
Raju succumbed to his burns after Monday midnight while Babu died around 9 a.m.
Raju’s body was taken to West Godavari district for funeral. The cremation of Babu was conducted at Amberpet burial ground here.
