VISAKHAPATNAM: Three ships of the Singapore Navy arrived here on Monday to participate in the SIMBEX 08, the joint naval exercises between navies of India and Singapore to be held in Bay of Bengal off the city from March 26 to 28.

According to a Navy press release, Fredrick Chew Chih Chiang, Michael tan Hai Ping and Poh Senga Wee, Commanding Officers respectively of RSN Formidable, a French-built Delta class frigate, RSN Vigilance and RSN Valour, both missile corvettes, called on Flag Office Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Naval Command Raman Prem Suthan.

During their stay here the officers and sailors of the Singaporean navy ships would be engaged in various professional activities and have interaction. They would also visit places of interest like Kailasagiri and Ramakrishna beach.
