HYDERABAD: Members of the Sikh community in the city on Wednesday demanded the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Mayor, Banda Karthika Chandra Reddy, to co-opt one Sikh as municipal corporator under the Minority quota.

History reveals that the Sikh community is residing in Hyderabad since decades but till date, Sikhs did not get an opportunity to represent in the local body, said Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda Hyderabad president Sardar Trilok Singh, in a statement.
