HYDERABAD: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested Eluru III Town Police Station Sub-Inspector Ch. Rama Rao, in West Godavari district, after he allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs.5,000 through constable K. Madhu from the complainant. A press release issued by ACB here said the SI had demanded the amount for releasing the complainant’s car involved in an accident with an autorickshaw and taking action against the auto driver. The officials seized cash from the constable. Both the SI and constable would be produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Vijayawada.
