Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said that members of self help groups (SHGs) should turn into entrepreneurs and all efforts would be made in that direction. He said that industrial clusters for women entrepreneurs would be established across the State in all districts and a task force headed by the Chief Minister constituted to speed up the process.

Addressing a huge gathering after formally laying the foundation for Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh Green Industrial Park (A-GRIP) at this village on Thursday, Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy said that industrialists should provide 80 per cent jobs in their units to locals.

“I am urging the industrialists to provide employment to locals. At the same time, I also suggest locals not to create trouble in industries forcing them to leave the place. Both should join hands and work together,” he said, adding that the State government was ready to extend the required assistance to industrialists establish their units in the State.

While admitting that power problem had hit the State, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that the problem would ease by June or July. “We are bringing pressure on the Union Government for power supply. We may come out of the problem if there are good rains, if not by October will be producing about 3,000 MW,” he said. The meeting was presided over by Patancheru legislator T. Nandeeswar Goud. Ministers J. Geeta Reddy, V. Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, D.K. Aruna, and others were present.
