A group comprising members of women self-help groups of Madhira constituency headed by Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP) officials concerned will visit Anand in Gujarat on Tuesday to gain firsthand information on the highly successful dairy cooperative movement in the milk capital of the country.

According to sources, 35 members of women SHGs from Bonakal, Madhira, Yerrupalem, Mudigonda and Chintakani mandals left for Anand on Sunday in buses arranged by the DRDA. The members headed by the DRDA Project Officer Padmaja Rani are scheduled to visit Amul Dairy at Anand town in Gujarat on Tuesday.

The study tour is being organised for the members of the SHGs to expose them to the most successful cooperative dairy movement, following the initiative taken by Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who represents Madhira constituency.
