YSR Congress leader Sharmila is again going to hit the road by undertaking a ‘bus yatra’ of Seemandhra region on September 2, the fourth death anniversary of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
She will begin the yatra from Idupulapaya in YSR Kadapa district.
Only recently, Ms. Sharmila completed her marathon padayatra, ‘Maro Praja Prasthanam’ by trekking 3,112 km. During the yatra, she will be explaining to the people problems likely to be faced post-bifurcation on various fronts, including sharing of river waters and revenue.
Tammineni slams Naidu
Meanwhile, former Minister Taminenni Seetharam, joined YSR Congress along with his followers in the presence of honorary president, Y.S. Vijayamma on Thursday.
Mr. Seetharam, who was associated for most of his political career with the Telugu Desam party, criticised TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu’s stand on bifurcation of the State and said the present crisis was due to the absence of effective leadership.
‘Strong leader needed’
He said there was a need for a strong leader in the State and demanded that the State be kept united if the Centre was not in a position to render justice to all the regions.
