On the third day of her ‘Maropraja Prasthanam Padayatra’ in the district on Sunday during which she has been focusing on problems specific to Nalgonda, like incomplete projects and safe drinking water supply to fluoride-affected villages - the YSR Congress Party leader took up for discussion the woes of handloom weavers. Also, she held a ‘rachchabanda’ at Sarampet, in Munugode mandal, with women and fluoride victims on their problems. Weavers and women workers complained to her about getting less wages, even in MGNREGA works, and receiving high power bills.

She promised to provide relief to fluoride-hit people by completing the drinking water projects when the government headed by her brother Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy is formed after the ensuing elections. His government would surely be the return of the ‘Rajanna rajyam’ as Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy administration is described by the party. She also assured the fluoride victims that her party government would sanction pension of Rs. 2,000 to each of them.

Among those who met Sharmila was a woman of Samsthan Narayanpur whose husband died of a heart attack following the death of YSR in the helicopter accident. She hugged the woman, and spoke to her two children, after seeing the family portrait.

Sharmila will continue her walk in Nalgonda, Nagarjunasagar and Miryalaguda constituencies.
