Seven persons died in three ghastly road accidents on different fly-overs on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
While callousness on part of a motorcyclist who was driving on the wrong side on Hi-Tec City flyover snuffed out four lives, a speeding cab hit a motorcycle killing two persons on YMCA flyover in Secunderabad.
In the third incident, an engineering student died after hitting a road divider on Chandrayangutta flyover.
All the three accidents were avoidable, if only motorists followed the rules and if only the civic authorities had taken care to put reflective warnings on the first block of divider on the fly-over. On Hi-Tec City flyover, Suryanarayana and three others travelling on the bike were run over by a truck when he took the wrong route on Wednesday afternoon. The dead were identified as N. Mallesh (28), his wife Laxmi and daughter Ashiwini (3) along with the motorcyclist Suryanarayana.
Mallesh and his family members living in Ayyappa society were on their way Hi-Tec City railway station where they were to board another train to go to their native place in Srikakulam for Deepavali. Suryanarayana, also a resident of same area, offered to drop them at the Hitec city railway station on his motor bike. In another incident reported on YMCA flyover a cab rammed into an motorcycle killing two students P.B. Sridharan and Emanuel D'croz.
