HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has assured the teachers that the Government is committed to ensuring integrated service rules for teachers.
Talking to a group of teachers who propose to float AP State Teachers’ Union (APSTU) on Wednesday, Dr. Reddy said he had taken up the matter of service rules with the Union Home Ministry and it would be pursued vigorously.
He said the Government would not act against their interests. Government had ushered in several measures to strengthen the quality of education in Government schools he said seeking support of teachers to usher in a new era of enlightenment among students.
Referring to the proposal to start a new union for teachers, he cautioned them against politicisation of such organisations.
