KADAPA: The saint-soothsayer Pothuluri Veera Brahmendra Swamy’s literary, social and philosophic preachings should be popularised among future generations, Sri Veerabhoga Vasantha Venkateswara Swamy, Peethadhipathi of Sri Pothuluri Veera Brahmendra Swamy Matham, said on Thursday.
The Peethadhipathi inaugurated a two-day national seminar on ‘Sri Pothuluri Veera Brahmendra Swamy’s teachings at the Yogi Vemana University’s conference hall here. Presiding over the session, university’s Vice-Chancellor A. Ramachandra Reddy asserted that the saint-fortune-teller, who took birth in the region, spread divine and spiritual thoughts. He described Veera Brahmendra Swamy as a forerunner in awakening society when many a philosopher was in a State of dormancy.
Seminar convener M. Mallikarjuna Reddy said the saint’s literary works gained prominence in the 17th century.
