Sringeri Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswami is arriving here on a three-day visit on January 23. He will be performing ‘Sri Chandramouleeswara Aaaradhana’ ritual on a grand scale at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Kalyana Mandapam at Balaji Cheruvu at 8 p.m. on January 24.
Announcing this at a press conference here on Saturday, religious scholar Chaganti Koteswara Rao said that the seer would reach Sree Peetham in the evening hours of January 23 from Annavaram. Representatives of Ayyappa Swamy temple at Police Lines would welcome the seer to the temple in the evening hours of January 24. After delivering a religious discourse at the temple, the seer would proceed to the TTD Kalyana Mandapam, where he would give darshan to the general public.
“Entry is free to watch ‘Sri Chandramouleeswara Aaardahana,’ which is going to be a rare opportunity to the people of the city. But, those who wish to offer ‘Pada Pooja’ to the seer and seek blessings from him will have to register their names with the special counter of the Sringer Matt to be set up at the Kalyana Mandapam,” Mr. Koteswara Rao explained.
