Places witnessing heavy movement of public inspected

HYDERABAD: Police conducted extensive searches in the State capital on Friday following an alert from Central intelligence agencies about the plans of terrorist outfits to create trouble.

Police teams inspected public and private places, especially those witnessing heavy movement of public. Railway and bus stations, lodges and theatres were inspected by special teams. Persons moving under suspicious circumstances were subjected to frisking.

Sources said the alert hinted about attempts by Shahed alias Bilal, the alleged mastermind behind the blast in Mecca mosque, to create law and order disturbances in the city.
