The South Central Railway (SCR) has augmented coaches in some express trains on a permanent basis. The trains in which additional coaches will be added are: Train No. 18047/18048 Howrah-Vasco-da-Gama-Howrah Amaravathi Express with One 3rd AC Coach with effect from December 1 from Howrah and from Vasco-da-Gama from December 4.
Train No. 18645/18646 Hyderabad-Howrah-Hyderabad East Coast Express will be augmented with One 3rd AC Coach with effect from December 2 from Howrah and from December 4, from Hyderabad. Train No. 22851/22852 Santragachi Junction–Mangalore-Santragachi Express will be attached with One 3rd AC Coach with effect from December 6, from Santragachi and from December 8, from Mangalore.
Train No. 22817/22818 Mysore-Howrah-Mysore Express will be augmented with One 3rd AC coach with effect from December 8, from Howrah and from December 10, from Mysore. Train No. 22849/22850 Shalimar-Secunderabad-Shalimar Express will be attached with One 3rd AC coach with effect from December 5, from Shalimar and from December 7, from Secunderabad.
Four Express trains have been diverted due to heavy rains in Chennai. Those diverted are: Train No. 17643 Chennai-Kakinada Circar Express; Train No. 12615 Chennai-New Delhi Grand Trunk Express; Train No. 12967 Chennai-Jaipur Express; Train No. 12759 Chennai-Hyderabad Charminar Express.
These trains will run on the diverted route via Renigunta, Gudur and normal route thereafter, hence, the down line has been suspended for traffic. There was also a possibility of delay in the running of trains en-route, the release said.
