: State Private Schools Association secretary S. Seshu Kumar has claimed that their association has nothing to do with the “corruption charges” reportedly made by the management of an Enkur-based private school against Minister for Horticulture R Venkat Reddy. In a statement issued here on Saturday, Mr Seshu Kumar said that their association was in no way concerned with the management of the private school based in Enkur mandal. “The school management is not a member of our association. The school does not have government recognition,” he said ruling out the possibility of “others” interference in the matters of granting recognition to a school. The District Educational Officer and the Regional Joint Director of School Education are authorised to accord recognition to private schools, he pointed out. Meanwhile, the headmaster of the school concerned reportedly reiterated his charges in Enkur. However, another person, whose name figured in the reports appeared in a section of vernacular newspapers on Saturday, denied having made any allegations against the minister.
