GUNTUR: The Guntur Division of South Central Railway will effect some temporary changes in the schedules of some trains between Guntur and Vijayawada to facilitate replacement of girders on Bridge No. 4 over the Krishna between the Krishna Canal and Vijayawada stations. According to a release from the Sr. DCM N. Ranga Rao the following changes would be effected from March 4 to 18:

Tr. Nos. M173/M174 Vijayawada–Guntur-Vijayawada will remain cancelled. Train No. 2706 Secunderabad–Guntur Intercity express will be terminated at Vijayawada and return to Secunderabad as train No. 2705 from Vijayawada itself.

Ordinary train Nos. 433 Yeswantapur – Vijayawada and 304 Hubli -Vijayawada will be terminated at Guntur. Train No. 303 Vijayawada-Hubli and No. 434 Vijayawada–Yeswantapur will start from Guntur. Train Nos. 482/481 Narsapur-Guntur–Narsapur will be operated between Narsapur and Vijayawada only. Train No. 498 Narsapur-Guntur will be terminated at Vijayawada. Train No. 418 Macherla–Bhimavaram will be terminated at Guntur.

Meanwhile, the schedule of special trains being run in view of annual meetings of Hosanna Ministries at Gorantla has been changed. Train No. 725 will start from Vijayawada at 6.30 p.m. on March 7 and run via Guntur to reach Guntakal at 6:25 a.m. on March 8. In the return direction, train No. 726 will start at Guntakal at 7:30 a.m. on March 8 to reach Vijayawada at 3.15 p.m. Train No. 711 with 15 coaches will leave Guntur at 10.05 p.m. on March 6 and arrive at Ongole at 1:45 a.m. on March 7.
