Gopal Krishan Kansal, General Manager, State Bank of India’s Network-II, Hyderabad, has said that under financial inclusion, the Kakinada region is on top in the country by opening zero balance accounts through its branches and 74 business correspondents.

Addressing a meeting after donating an ambulance to St. Ann’s Hospital, Kapileswarapuram, through its Angara branch as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility on Saturday, Mr. Kansal said they had done Rs. 4,643 crore business out of which Rs. 2008 crore was deposits and Rs.2,635 crore was advances in the Kakinada region at the end of March 2013.
