Sri Karakachettu Polamamba Ammavari Devasthanam in Pedawaltair will conduct Sarannavarathrulu Mahotsavamulu and Sata Chandi Yagam at its premises from October 16 to 24.
According to executive officer of the temple Bommakanti Trimurthulu, Sri Vighneswarapuja, Chandiparayana, Mandaparadhana puja, Chandihomam and other rituals will be held daily. On Oct. 20, Saraswathi puja and Kumari puja would be performed in the morning, Lakshakumkuma puja on Oct. 22 and on the final day on Oct. 24, poornahuti of Chandihomam would be held at 11.30 a.m.
The deity would be decorated as Sri Mahalakshmi, Sri Gayatri Devi, Sri Annapurna Devi, Sri Lalitha Devi, Sri Saraswathi Devi, Sri Balatripurasundari Devi, Sri Rajarajeswari Devi, Sri Durga Devi, and Sri Mahishasuramardhani in that order during the Navarathri festival, he said.
Apart from this, cultural programmes would be held at the temple premises daily from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Vedic scholar K. Ramasastry, priests P.S. Chakravarti, Appalacharyulu and Srinivasacharyulu were present.
