Activists of the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh and other Sangh Parivar organisations staged a demonstration here on Saturday demanding stern action against All India Majilis-E-Itihadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi for his alleged “hate speech.”

The agitators led by RSS district secretary L.Sivaprasad, Vishwa Hindu Parishad district secretary J.Satyanarayana and BJP city president P Rambabu came in a procession to the busy Church centre raising slogans in support of their demands including disqualification of Mr. Akbaruddin as MLA.

The protesters including former BJP district president G.Nageswara Rao and Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Samiti district president T. Hariprasad also pressed for a ban on the AIMIM, which they alleged incited communal passions. The activists launched a postcard campaign to impress upon , among others, President Pranab Mukherjee, Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan, Speaker N. Manohar and the Election Commission to intervene in the matter.
