HYDERABAD: Konapuri Ilaiah alias Sambasivudu, CPI (Maoist) State committee secretary who surrendered in February 2009, plans to undertake a ‘Telangana Sadhana yatra' in Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar districts from May 25 to achieve separate Telangana. He met Home Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy at the Secretariat on Monday seeking government permission to go ahead with his ‘yatra'. Mr. Sambasivudu told reporters later that he found the Home Minister's approach to be positive. He said he would approach the High Court and the State Human Rights Commission if the government rejected his plea. He would launch the yatra at Bhongir with a public meeting on Tuesday in which Congress MP Madhu Yaski, Telangana idealogue T. Jayashankar and convener of the Joint Action Committee of political parties Prof. Kodandaram would take part.
