The Samakyandhra Joint Action Committee in Prakasam district on Thursday gave a call for chalo Bapatla on Sunday for the success of the three-day centenary celebrations of Pradhamandhra Sabha beginning on Friday.

It was in 1913 the first Andhra Mahasabha conference held at Bapatla with elites like B.N. Sarma, Nyayapati Subba Rao, Konda Venkatapapaiah and M. Ramachandra Rao taking the lead in articulating formation of a separate state of Telugu-speaking people from composite Madras state, recalled SJAC convenor Meka Ravindra Babu.

Mr. Ravindra Babu said that “We should take inspiration from the great visionaries who sowed the seed for uniting under one umbrella all Telugu people.”
