Krishna district Samaikyandhra Joint Action Committee announced a fresh agitation programme for this week here on Monday.

JAC members M.C.Das, Devineni Avinash, Naraharisetti Srihari and Buddha Nageswara Rao at a press conference said a decision has been taken to make students raise slogans for Samaikyandhra at all educational institutions in their morning assembly on Tuesday. A students rally would be organised once in three days demanding the Central Government not to bifurcate the State.

The Samaikyandhra JAC appealed to all political parties to take an active role in the struggle to prevent the division of the State. They appealed to all political parties to form into a Joint Action Committee to fight along side the people. The process of forming the all party JAC would take place on Wednesday.

The Samaikyandhra JAC asked all the elected representatives – MPs, MLAs and MLCs – of the district to write letters to the President of India to use his good offices to prevent the division of the State on Thursday.

On Friday resolutions made by each gram panchayat against the division of the State would be mailed to the President. Letters by various associations in the district would be posted to the President on Saturday, according to a few resolutions made by the JAC. The JAC members said that Section D of Article 371 of the Indian Constitution was like a shield to the cause of Samaikyandhra and advocates were working to appeal to the courts under its provisions.
