VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangham has criticised the State government for having “miserably failed” to take necessary drought relief measures though it already declared drought-hit mandals. Addressing media here on Tuesday, Sangham president K. Ramakrishna and general secretary Ravula Venkaiah said that the State government declared 951mandals as drought-hit, but there were no efforts to bail out the farmers from the impact of drought. They were in the city to review the arrangements being made for the Sangham’s State-level conference scheduled to be held from October 26.
