CM to launch them at police parade grounds in Guntur

Agriculture Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana said ‘Rythu Chaitanya Sadassulu’ will be organised in every revenue division in the State from May 9 to 13. The program will be inaugurated by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy at the police parade ground here on Thursday. He will participate in the valedictory to be held at Nizamabad on May 13.

Addressing media persons on Wednesday, Mr. Lakshminarayana said arrangements have been made for farmer-scientist interactions and a variety of agricultural implements would be displayed for the benefit of farmers (a total of 47 stalls are being put up in Guntur).

The focus would be on adopting latest technologies that help in achieving higher productivity with optimal investments, usage of organic fertilizers and pesticides and choosing crops on the basis of soil conditions.

Collector S. Suresh Kumar, Joint Director D. Muralidhar Reddy and others were present.

Arrangements have been made for laying of foundation stones for renovation works in Brahmananda Reddy stadium costing Rs 8.28 crore and Sthree Sakti Bhavanam to be built at a cost of Rs 2.95 crore and inauguration of a skating rink laid at a cost of nearly Rs. 29 lakh. Besides, the Chief Minister will distribute agricultural implements worth Rs 5.55 crore to ‘Rythu Mitra’ groups.
