HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Rosaiah assured that water from Mylavaram reservoir in Kadapa district will be supplied first to the Rayalaseema Thermal Power Station at Muddanur before the needs of Bramhani Steels are met.

Intervening during a heated debate in the Assembly on Wednesday, he said Major Irrigation Minister P. Lakshmaiah would hold a meeting soon on the Telugu Desam demand to scrap the GO through which the allocation was made to the Bramhani Steels.

Plea to Naidu

Agriculture Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy appealed to the Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu with folded hands not to oppose any attempt by the government to set up industries in drought-prone Kadapa district which would provide employment to thousands.
