The RTC in Nizamabad region will run express and super luxury buses to the Ayyappa Swami temple at Sabari in Kerala for the convenience of Ayyappa devotees from December 19.

Disclosing this to the mediapersons, Regional Manager RTC, S. Krishnakanth, here on Wednesday, said that an amount of Rs. 3,000 per head would be charged in express buses and Rs.4,100 would be the fare in super luxury buses to and fro.

Departure and return dates

The bus will depart on December 19 and reach Sabari via Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mysore on December 21.

While returning, the bus will start on December 23 and reach Nizamabad via Madurai, Kanchi and Tirupati, he said, adding that the number of services to be launched would depend on the flow of devotees.

Low fares

Mr. Krishnakanth also said that the RTC instead of introducing separate city bus services in the district headquarters town, which was a long pending demand of residents, it decided to charge just Rs.5 and Rs.10 in ordinary and express services respectively for travelling to the town from Mubaraknagar on Armoor road, Madhavanagar on Hyderabad road, the MIDS on Banswada road and Dairy Farm on Bodhan road.

The Deputy CTM, Y. Gangadhar, RTC depot-I manager Kirankumar and depot-II manager Sarath Prasad were present.
