Special programme aimed at autorickshaw drivers

    GUNTUR: The Department of Transport will soon launch a special drive to issue licences to all the eligible auto rickshaw drivers in the city, according to Deputy Transport Commissioner C. Narsaiah.

    At an awareness meet organised by the Bhajarang Jute Mill Workers' Union for auto rickshaw drivers on Friday, he said the Road Transport Authority had given 5,000 applications to the union leaders.

    Along with a set of question and answers to enable the drivers get first-hand knowledge about the computer-based learning licence test the RTA authorities gave instructions for obtaining licence.
