Sanctioning of development of 30 km-long Visakhapatnam-Bhimili beach front corridor with an estimated cost of Rs.78 crore, preparation of concepts for international bids for establishing a Santosa-like integrated park theme park and individual stand-alone projects under the existing schemes of the Government of India are among the decisions taken at a high-level meeting held at New Delhi on Thursday.

Union Minister for Tourism Subodh Kant Sahay presided over the meeting convened at the request of Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development D. Purandeswari.

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Vatti Vasant Kumar, Rajya Sabha member T. Subbarami Reddy, Union Secretary, Tourism, R.H. Khwaja, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Andhra Pradesh, Chandana Khan and Visakhapatnam District Collector Lav Agarwal were present.
