Fresh proposals received for the Indiramma third phase, says Collector
KHAMMAM: District Collector Shashibhushan Kumar wanted all payments pertaining to the implementation of the NREGA programme to be cleared in two or three days.
Addressing a meeting of officials, he said the government had released Rs. 70 crores for implementation of the programme in the district.
He said fresh proposals were received from 26 revenue mandals for the implementation of the Indiramma third phase. He wanted the officials to get ready with proposals in 20 other mandals without delay.
He asked ITDA Project Officer Budha Prakash Jyothi to coordinate with the forest officials in the implementation of the Scheduled Tribes and other Traditional Forest Dwellers (recognition of forest rights) Act, 2006 in the district.
The Collector also wanted the repair works proposed in the hostels under the Samkshema Bata programme. He stressed the need for speeding up further the land acquisition process for the Polavaram project.
