KADAPA: A. Ameeruddin, head Muzawar of Asthana-e-Maqdoomullahi (Pedda Dargah), on Sunday objected to the proposed conduct of Urs-e-Sharif Moula Ka Pahad at Kalicherla in Peddamandem mandal in Chittoor district from May 27 to 29.

The pilgrim centre Moula Ka Pahad, where Ameenullah, former Sajjad-e-Nasheen of Pedda Dargah observed penance, was under a raging dispute between Asthana-e-Maqdoomullahi and KSSY Society at Kalicherla and the High Court issued orders directing the State government to take possession of Moula Ka Pahad, which it had leased out a few decades ago.

The court also barred conduct of Urs on the said premises by either parties, Mr. Ameeruddin said in a statement. However, the KSSY Society at Kalicherla had printed posters that Urs-e-Shariff would be conducted from May 27 to 29, in gross violation of the court orders, he added. Urging government officials concerned to initiate measures to prevent the conduct of the Urs, Mr. Ameeruddin warned that lest it should incur the wrath of the devotees of Pedda Dargah and cause law and order problems. The KSSY Society should not conduct the Urs at the disputed Moula Ka Pahad, but could do so at any other place with a different nomenclature, he added.
