Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy arrived to a hero's welcome at his native village Nagaripalle of Kalikiri mandal of Piler Assembly constituency, which he represents, on Saturday.
Mr. Reddy drove straight to Nagaripalle after arriving at the helipad at Indiramma Colony from Renigunta airport. Congress leaders thronged the village to have interaction with Mr. Reddy.
From 3.30 p.m. till late in the evening, Mr. Reddy kept busy talking to the villagers, who hailed his Samaikhyandra stand. Party cadres said that the Chief Minister took interest in knowing the details of the ongoing agitation in the district. The cadres told him that telecast of his Friday’s press conference brought them much relief and inspiration.
After nighty halt at his native village, Mr. Reddy will leave for Kadapa district on Sunday morning. In view of the influx of Samaikhyandra agitators in to Nagaripalle, heavy police bandobasth was made in the vicinity of the Chief Minister’s residence.
Visits Shirdi Saibaba temple
In the evening, Mr. Reddy visited the temple of Shirdi Sai Baba at Kalikiri mandal headquarters and offered prayers.
