The much-awaited Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) got under way with Chennai Rhinos and Bhojpuri Dabangs, and Kerala Strikers and Mumbai Heroes fighting it out in two sessions in Kochi on Saturday. With the teams getting busy, Shraddha Das visited 93.5 Red FM Studio to promote the team Telugu Warriors (TW) headed by actor Venkatesh.

“TW will begin their campaign against Bengal Tigers tomorrow at Siliguri. The match is scheduled after Veer Marathi play Karnataka Bulldozers. We have been campaigning for the team in a big way, visiting Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and, now, Vizag.

This year, Veer Marathi and Bhojpuri Dabangs are the new additions,” she said. The tournament is being held at different venues — Hyderabad, Dubai, Ranchi, Chennai, Pune, and Bangalore.

The rest of the schedule of the matches is as follows:


Kerala Strikers vs Bhojpuri Dabangs and Chennai Rhinos vs Karnataka Bulldozers on February 16 in Hyderabad. Veer Marathi vs Bengal Tigers and Telugu Warriors vs Mumbai Heroes on February 17 in Hyderabad.

Kerala Strikers vs Bengal Tigers and Chennai Rhinos vs Mumbai Heroes on February 23 at Dubai. Telugu Warriors vs Karnataka Bulldozers and Veer Marathi vs Bhojpuri Dabangs on February 24 in Ranchi. Kerala Strikers vs Karnataka Bulldozers and Chennai Rhinos vs Bengal Tigers on March 2 in Chennai. Telugu Warriors vs Bhojpuri Dabangs and Veer Marathi vs Mumbai Heroes on March 3 in Pune.

The semi-finals would be played on March 9 in Hyderabad and the grand final match would be played on March 10 in Bangalore.
