Three cars, two motorcycles and an autorickshaw were partially damaged after debris flew when rocks were being blasted at a construction site near Jubilee Hills check post on Thursday afternoon. None was injured.
Police said construction workers blasted rocks using explosives at a building under construction, when the flying debris fell on the vehicles parked in a residential area. After receiving a complaint from the residents, police registered a case against the contractor and arrested him along with four workers.
Police enquiries revealed that a well-known construction company was building the house.
Banjara Hills Inspector P. Murali Krishna said the contractor was executing the works with prior permission from the police.
