Deliberate attempt being made to frame my family members in a petty case, says the MLA
HYDERABAD: Congress MLA from Khairatabad P. Janardhan Reddy, has decided to knock the doors of the All-India Congress Committee (AICC) “to seek justice” in the controversial road rage case involving his son and the kin of Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy told reporters here on Friday that he would meet AICC general secretary soon. Mr. Reddy said he would narrate once again his version of the incident in view of the AICC’s appeal to him not to precipitate matters and postpone his proposed indefinite fast at least until the Presidential election was over on July 19.
The MLA said he would bring to the notice of party leaders high-handedness of the police officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police and dropping of charges levelled in the FIR by his wife in the charge sheet.
He said it was obvious that a deliberate attempt was being made to frame his family members in a petty case for no fault of theirs.
Mr. Reddy said he would remain a staunch Congressman as always but would not hesitate to raise public issues. He said one should not read more to his meeting with TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao.
He merely met him to plead for support to the UPA presidential candidate.
