TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu’s ‘Vastunna Meekosam padayatra’ will enter the district in the night of January 29, according to party’s district president and Chilakaluripet MLA Prathipati Pulla Rao.

The route map and arrangements are in the final stages of being worked out to cover the maximum number of villages in nine Assembly constituencies starting with Undavalli in Mangalagiri constituency.

Addressing a party meeting here on Saturday, Mr. Pulla Rao said rival parties were making moves to weaken the TDP fearing that it would once again play a crucial role in national politics.

There is no conspiracy that is not hatched by the Congress high command to engineer a split in the TDP in these critical times.

However, the TDP’s rank and file would thwart such attempts to tarnish the party’s image. The TDP stands committed to fighting corruption and divisive politics indulged in by the Congress and YSR Congress. It would prove its mettle in the upcoming cooperative elections.

Former Minister J.R. Pushpa Raj said good governance is possible only with TDP and claimed that the people were rightly desirous of the TDP’s comeback.

MLC Chigurupati Varaprasad, MLAs Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar and N. Ananda Babu, and former Minister Alapati Rajendra Prasad were present.
