RINL, the State-run second biggest steel producer, came out with flying colours by bagging two Class-A and two Class-B Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar (VRP), a national award for innovative suggestions for 2011.
RINL has won this recognition eighth time in succession. The award was instituted by Ministry of Labour and Employment, for excellent performance by workmen in industries.
Union Minister for Labour and Employment Sis Ram Ola gave away the VRP awards to the winners on Wednesday in New Delhi.
The national safety awards were also given during the same function. RINL Director (personnel) Y.R. Reddy along with others received the awards.
Meanwhile, RINL CMD A.P. Choudhary congratulated the VRP award winners and facilitators on bringing name and fame to the company.
The winning employees in Class-A awards are M.S. Kumar, K. Anjaneyulu, P. Venkata Redd, Ch. Appala Swamy, V. Narsimha Swam and D.Y. Naidu; Class–B awards Rama Raju, D. Appla Naidu, N.S. Bharani, A. Srinivasa Varma, GRVS Raju and K. Appala Naidu,
Senior RINL officials S.K.V.N. Acharyulu, Shashi Bhushan, Susant Patnaik and K.S. Srinivasa Rao, who played key role in implementation of the suggestions, attended the function.
The RINL CMD performed special puja on the occasion of Viswakarma Jayanti at the Community Welfare Centre of Ukkunagaram on Tuesday.
Mr. Choudhary offered prayers seeking the Almighty to provide peace and prosperity to the organisation and its employees.
